A breathtaking sunset paints the sky over a sprawling cornfield, silhouetting the distant trees and casting a warm glow across the rural landscape.

I’m home.

After nearly over 20 years away — many of them in Northern Virginia — I’m back in the small Tennessee town where I grew up.

I didn’t plan for this to happen yet. Life moved the timeline, and I moved with it.

Here’s what I know: I spent two decades building skills, credentials, and a career I’m genuinely proud of. CPTD certified. Air Force veteran. Senior instructional designer. I’ve done meaningful work for organizations that mattered.

And I brought all of it back here.

This is what homecoming means to me in 2026 — not starting over, but starting from somewhere real. Building a life that’s mine in the deepest sense. Reconnecting with people who knew me young and meeting people I haven’t found yet.

I’m settling into Union City, TN and continuing my instructional design work fully remote. If you’re building learning programs and need an experienced designer who brings 20+ years, a CPTD, and a track record in government, defense, and specialized training environments — I’d love to connect.

The word flourish didn’t go away. It just found its address.

And if you’re in a season of unexpected pivots — I see you. Sometimes the curveball is the path.
