My work focuses on solving performance problems, not just building courses. I design learning experiences grounded in adult learning theory and learning science so people can apply what they learn on the job.
I develop end-to-end training solutions using tools such as Microsoft Office, Canva, Articulate, Rise, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Snagit, and Animaker. Tool choice follows the problem. Not the other way around.

This is a project I'm proud of, so I've shared the whole story behind it, not just the finished course. Along with the course itself, When Seconds Count, you'll find the pieces that shaped it: the design guide that traces every objective to its assessment, the content document behind each screen, and the build guide that assembled it all. I've also included the Decision Trainer, a companion tool for rehearsing the decisions the course teaches, and two Vyond cold-open videos built from the same script, one by hand and one with AI. Together they show how I think through a project, not just what I hand over at the end.

For a medical emergency, there's no time to look something up while it's happening, so I built this to practice the decisions before they matter. It walks you through short, realistic situations and gives instant feedback on every choice, so the right response starts to feel automatic. I think of it less as a job aid than a rehearsal space, the kind of low-stakes practice that makes a high-stakes moment feel a little more familiar. Give it a try and see how you'd respond.
Same Script, Two Ways
These two short videos were two options I'd considered as a cold-opening for the Medical Emergency course. Both start from the same
script, and I built them two different ways on purpose. The first I produced in Vyond the traditional way, scene by scene from the script. For the second, I handed the script to Vyond's AI, let it generate the video, then edited the result until it matched what the course actually needed. I wanted to see, and to show, where AI speeds the work and where a designer's judgment still has to step in. I ultimately kept these out of the final course because their animated style clashed with the realistic photography I used throughout, and on a subject this serious I wanted the visuals and tone to stay consistent from start to finish.

For this project, I designed an interactive learning experience that prepares users to operate a utility vehicle safely. The focus was on clear, instructionally sound content paired with purposeful visuals and hands-on interactions that reinforce critical safety behaviors and proper operation.

Discovery Park is a unique treasure that provides an incredible experience similar to the Smithsonian museums, all in one location. I'm excited to highlight this captivating element of my local culture and history!

The Purposeful Pursuit is a self-paced course for anyone standing at one of life's crossroads — a career change, an empty nest, a season of loss or quiet reinvention — who feels the pull toward something more meaningful but bristles at clinical self-help and corporate goal-setting. It borrows the unhurried joy of vintage hunting as its guide, built on a simple idea: that purpose, like a good find, is rarely stumbled on all at once, but uncovered piece by piece, through curiosity and a willingness to look closely. Across six lessons and a companion workbook that carries the real work, learners sort out what they genuinely value, turn those values into everyday intentions, decide what to keep and what to let go, and gather it all into a personal Purpose Map they can carry forward. It's reflective without being fluffy, warm without being saccharine — a gentle, encouraging place to figure out what matters, and how to live a little more of it.
I built Hard Conversations because most ethics training teaches people what's right but never lets them practice saying it. We can all pass the quiz on bribery or harassment and still freeze when someone is sitting across from us, applying pressure in real time. That gap between knowing the right thing and actually getting the words out is where good people get stuck. So I wanted to make a place to close it: eight realistic scenarios where you can try the words out loud, get honest pushback, and see how you did, with feedback grounded in real law and professional standards rather than opinion. Nothing is tracked or saved. It's just you, a hard moment, and the chance to get it wrong somewhere safe, so you're steadier when it counts for real. My hope is that it makes speaking up feel a little less daunting and a lot more familiar.
Communications for Social Media
This course was originally developed as a classroom-based, instructor-led training. In 2020, as instruction shifted to virtual delivery, I redesigned the course for a virtual instructor-led format to ensure learners could continue building the skills required for their work. The design prioritized sustained interaction and natural facilitation, allowing faculty and subject matter experts to engage learners in ways aligned with the content. I also served as the VILT facilitator for this course. This Facilitator Guide represents an excerpt of the full document and has been modified to remove customer-specific information.
Partnering for Performance
This job aid is part of my client intake process and is used when working with organizations new to instructional systems design. It sets clear expectations upfront by defining the ISD’s role, establishing client responsibilities, and outlining the outcomes and deliverables clients can expect.
Military & Veteran Employee Resource Group Annual Challenge Planning/ Presentation
I have created a plan utilizing AI to support military and veteran employees in emphasizing physical health, mental well-being, and community. This initiative is a passion project for me, as it showcases my ongoing commitment to the military as a veteran. The monthly plan is designed to coincide with awareness themes or seasonal events and includes recommendations activities, expected outcomes, key performance indicators, and additional resources.
