A Word to Live By

Every year I choose a word to live by.
2024: misneach. Gaelic for courage. I was making big changes and needed a reminder that I could.
2025: becoming. Some of those changes had happened. I wanted to keep the momentum…to keep growing into something more.
2026: flourish. Time to thrive.
Then life handed me a curveball I wasn’t expecting for another few years, and I had to take a hard look at what flourishing actually meant for me.
Turns out, it wasn’t where I thought it was.
The word I’m living now is homecoming.
Not a retreat. Not a plan B. A return — with 20+ years of experience, growth, and hard-won clarity — to the place where I was always meant to land.
More on what that looks like soon.
misneach → becoming → flourish → homecoming
That’s not four words. That’s one sentence.
