Senior Learning & Development Consultant

• Deliver Results: Collaborated with clients to design and implement innovative learning strategies, resulting in improved learner engagement and performance outcomes.

  • Led cross-functional teams in the project management of National Geospatial-Intelligence College learning solutions, utilizing Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office to coordinate tasks, track milestones, manage documentation, and foster collaboration to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

  • Designed and developed an interactive, introductory eLearning course on the history and evolution of the dark web, converting instructor-led training to web-based training. Incorporated scenario-based learning, multimedia elements, and accessibility features to enhance engagement, support diverse learning styles, and ensure 508 compliance.

  • Designed, developed biological familiarization training; delivered foundational understanding of biological threat pathogens, mitigation strategies, and laboratory management. Translated complex scientific topics—such as select agents, outbreak response, and epidemiological reporting—into accessible, engaging learning experiences. Employed a blended learning approach, including classroom instruction, hands-on labs, web-based training, and non-immersive VR to enhance learner engagement and retention.

  • Consultant on a training revamp initiative, streamlining instructional design processes and recommending technology integrations to improve efficiency. Designed and developed multiple eLearning courses by converting instructor-led content to online formats, expanding global access to training while reducing reliance on instructor availability. Additionally, coordinated a week-long training event with over 45 sessions for 300+ participants.

• AI-Assisted Instructional Design. Leverage AI as a design collaborator to draft course content, develop project plans, generate Bloom’s-aligned learning objectives, and structure assessments—maintaining human review at every stage. Reduced content development cycle time by integrating AI into analysis, design, and development phases while preserving instructional integrity and alignment to performance outcomes. Mentor team members on effective, responsible use of AI in the instructional design workflow.

• Leadership. Directed cross-functional teams of learning strategists, ISDs, multimedia specialists, technical editors, and compliance evaluators to deliver high-quality, instructionally sound, engaging training solutions—consistently meeting or exceeding client deadlines.

• Learning Analytics. Analyze requests for learning, performing needs assessment, and establishing business justifications to validate learning need. Research and identify learning solutions from internal and external providers, including courses, workshops, and seminars, to address validated and emerging learning needs. 

• Change Champion. Met customer’s challenge to revise processes for increased agility. Developed and implemented a forward-leaning solution that combined customer’s best practices using ADDIE with a 4-cycle Agile approach that incorporates timeboxing and prevents “scope creep” and project delays. Reduced design and development timelines and improved quality of curriculum.

• Collaboration & Workflow Optimization. Proficient in utilizing Jira and Confluence for effective project management, including tracking progress, managing tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experienced in creating detailed project documentation and timelines within Confluence, while leveraging Jira for sprint planning, issue tracking, and reporting. Adept at streamlining workflows and ensuring timely delivery of instructional design projects.

• Veteran Advocate. Founded and chaired Military and Veteran Employee Resource Group (ERG), establishing programs that increased visibility and support for military-affiliated employees. Advocated for internal policy improvements to ensure veterans had streamlined access to earned benefits, resulting in increase in benefit utilization among eligible employees.

• Virtual Facilitation. Led the design and delivery of blended learning programs that integrated synchronous and asynchronous components to promote critical thinking and learner engagement. As Technical Producer and co-facilitator, managed all aspects of virtual delivery—orienting users to platforms, supporting live sessions, and ensuring seamless technical execution—while enhancing the learning experience through interactive strategies, microlearning, and ongoing learner support.

Lead Instructional Designer/Learning Strategist

Served as Technical Lead for a team of instructional designers supporting GEOINT analyst training. Established quality assurance review processes, maintained program documentation for scalability, and ensured instructional consistency across all team deliverables.

• eLearning Standards & Process. Authored standard operating procedures for all eLearning development, establishing consistent quality standards across the team. Served as the primary eLearning developer and go-to resource for troubleshooting, quality assurance, and rapid course delivery.

• Technology Adoption & Training. Introduced Articulate authoring tools to the client organization and coordinated training for all instructional designers. Managed ongoing training with each software release to maintain development quality and consistency across delivered courses.
